User Controlled Subscription

Postby rproctor » Mon Sep 20, 2010 6:52 pm

How do I allow users to control their own subscriptions without requiring the administrator to do it? The concept is that people would come to my website, click on a link to receive desktop alerts, download the client, and install it. Then they would click on the ""Not Registered Yet" link that takes them to a page where they can register (preferably a page on my site).

Yes, that is what the Alerts API is for, it can remotely do almost all things which you normally do within the control panel.
For e.g.
- Remote User Registration and Subscription
- Sending all type of Alerts
- Managing and Deleting Subscriptions
- Creating custom pages and templates to send different alerts
and do on.
Example codes are available at this link. Any programmer can make use of them and create its implementation.
You can also ask BusinessAlerts admin for creation of the required interface with your site and they will gladly provide any service required.
